Katie Klause-Newitt was only 8 years old when she was introduced to the moving business through her parents and founders of A-1 Moving and Storage, Louis and Jean Klause. Her many days of completing homework at the office quickly turned into her being molded to become a relocation specialist and later, the Vice President. Katie spent about 10 years of her life working in the office learning the business from the inside, before embarking on her journey in the sales department where she has worked with Realtors, networking groups, professional associations and homeowners, specializing in residential relocations of all types.
After being in the family business for more than 32 years, Katie has learned that the most important factor to any move, is the client. Providing them with the excellent care and service they deserve is the ultimate goal. She knows that by giving her clients a high-quality move will bring them back again and again and will generate referrals to their friends.
Katie is seen as the face of A-1 Moving and Storage and is very active in many prominent organizations including the Palm Beach Board of Realtors, Jupiter Tequesta Hobe Sound Board of the Miami Realtors, Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches, Executive Women of the Palm Beaches, Women’s Council of Realtors, Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce and the Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope.

One of the most unexpected things about Katie is that she initially saw herself heading down a career path within the fashion industry. However, she explains that the most realistic course was for her to continue the journey in the family business with A-1 Moving and Storage.
When she’s not working, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, who is also the Director of Business Development.The duo often take a breather from their hectic professional lives by taking trips in their RV with their dog Bailey. Katie also maximizes the free moments she gets by visiting the spa, spending time with friends, or going biking.
Katie remains committed to her family at A-1 Moving and Storage, namely her brother- Tom, sister- Lee, nephew- Eric, husband- Andy and all of their employees. She knows that they will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that their clients will have high-quality moves and are completely satisfied. Validating the company’s commitment to quality is the earning of the Milt Hill Award for quality last month, for the fifth time in a row.
